OUR OLD TIGER CAT MOWER ENGINE BLEW UP. IT’S SCRAP

When MNAB was established in 2019, we bought an old used SCAG Tiger Cat zero turn
lawnmower. It was tired to start with, but it kept working until the engine blew up last week.
20psi compression in one cylinder. Low in the other. We hauled the mower to a repair place,
and the quote to fix was more than a new mower. It needed a new engine, two new hydraulic
pumps, and two new hydraulic motors. $6000 in repairs, so we are scrapping the mower. We
bought a new Cub Cadet Z2 54” zero turn mower for $4200. Thanks to Rusty Freeman, our
Secretary, putting the money. Let’s get him paid back! Ingrid Freeman will be managing the
donations and tracking the balance due.
UPDATE! As of 6-7-2026 the donations have completely paid for the new mower! THANKS!
